Cameron Diaz turns 42

Happy birthday Cameron Diaz! As the beautiful actress turns 42, Coppy Blogs takes a look at what the stars have in store for Cameron and you...

This is what Cameron, who is a Virgo, can be expecting today:

Whatever else September brings, it won't be peace and quiet. There'll be plenty of what Shakespeare called 'sound and fury' even if, as the bard used to suggest, it signifies nothing. Fuss and bother has that tendency. We get so caught up in trials and tribulations, diversions and distractions, arguments and adventures as the soap opera of life rumbles on, dragging us in its wake. But if you adjust expectations and accept that there's less to worry about than some folk think, you may yet have a most productive month.

In 1997's My Best Friend's Wedding Cameron's naive but lovable Kimmy Wallace stole our hearts.

Born 30 August 1972 Cameron grew up on the beaches of San Diego, California to a Cuban-American father and Anglo-German mother. At 16, she took off on a six-year modelling tour with Elite, before bursting onto the Hollywood scene with the 1994 Jim Carrey comedy The Mask.

The She's The One actress shunned Hollywood and took on numerous indie projects including 1996'sHead Above Water opposite Harvey Keitel. "I just knew I wanted to carry on acting and to learn about acting," she said at the time. "So I chose these smaller films".

But it was the 1998 comedy There's Something About Mary that really established Cameron. Even her creative hair gel and strange culinary enthusiasms couldn't put us off. Crowds flocked to the blockbuster, with one magazine dubbing her the 'It Girl' of the momento, as did her co-star and then-boyfriend Matt Dillon.

Since then, the gorgeous blonde has starred in several hit films, including Charlie’s AngelsWhat Happens in Vegas and Bad Teacher.

The stunner has been linked to various high profile boyfriends in the past, including Justin TimerlakeJared Leto and Matt Dillon. She is now seeing Good Charlotte co-founder Benji Madden.
